Composition (Rule of thirds).

The 2nd class (11th February 2013)

Miss Lisa taught us on composition. How rule of thirds is the first main thing on composition. Imagining grids on our camera and knowing where to put our main focus at.

Therefore, she gave us another task.
She told us to use our leftover mounting boards and make a picture frames

Example:

and then take any picture of a subject we choose and following the rule of thirds to take it and make it into a movie clip to show her in the next class.

As usual I was doing it last minute, I chose "picture frames" as my subject and just take however I wanted and also I took it at night.

*I accidentally deleted the pictures so I can't show it how it looks like*

Then the next class (18th February 2013) she did an individual tutorial for this exercise and she said I did badly because I took the pictures at night and I didn't follow the rule of thirds. She then explained back how to do it properly and I had to do it all over again.

So I added like sellotape on the picture frames to make life easier (haha)
and I also chose a different subject matter, this time I used my "pearl necklace" as my subject matter. I took a picture of it at various places/items.

It turned out to be like this:

and I thought to myself like by adding the sellotape it looks kind of ugly and unattractive. So I decided to cut it off and just imagine the grids in my mind.

and it became like this and much more nicer (in my opinion, of course):

and lastly I did the movie clip she told us to and added a music background to it.

*I'm not sure why the music is not working properly ;;*

The music background is called "Gread DJ - The Tings Tings" it's an OST from the British move "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging".
