[9/10/2013] 2 Dimensional Design - Creating Your Own Monogram.

Last Monday (7/10/2013), after the "What's Your Square"exhibition. Miss Lisa lectured and briefed us on our next major assignment. Which is to create your own monogram. This assignment is going to be 3-4 weeks due. I'm very much excited for this assignment as I've done a logo of my own back when I was in high school. Where I had to create my own company, which I did a karaoke company called "Star". My teacher told us to paste the logos onto your products, since mine was a karaoke company, I brought my radio from home to school and pasted it on the radio itself.

As you can from the picture below, you can see my works I did throughout high school.

The one below is the one I mentioned about, the "Star" logo I did. Alongside my business cards, envelope and letterhead.

Monogram focuses a lot of the type of typography we use. It is just a combination of two or more letters for your company. By creating a simple but bold monogram, it can create attention to your clients. Monogram can be created in 3 different ways.

Therefore, Miss Lisa told us to think about and research more on monogram and come out with 12-20 sketches on how you would want yours to turn out like.

Since I am excited for this one, I started sketching in the KTM train when I was on my way home. I sketched 12 ways of how I want my letters to be position as. Then I'll be focusing more on the type of typography I want to use.

I hope when I show my sketches to Miss Lisa tomorrow, she'll be happy about it.

F.
